Before we get to all the fun travel information about Southern California during the winter months, talk with your doctor about getting both the regular flu vaccine as well as the H1N1 vaccine for everyone in the family.  For more online information about getting ready to travel with little ones, here is a survey of helpful resources available on the Internet:

Other Advice
If you're a breast feeding mother, here's information from the CDC about how you can continue doing so while traveling.

If you're traveling while pregnant, you should consult your doctor before you leave. But just so you have it, here's a link to the CDC webpage that has extensive tips on how to do it safely.

Delicious Baby has good information about how to prepare your toddler for the trip ahead -- as well as how to prepare them for airplane travel specifically.
